Liam Gallagher on tons of stuff on NME magazinePublicado: junio 29, 2011
Liam Gallagher has claimed he’s frightened of Muse, declaring their music to be “fucking creepy shit”.
On The Stone Roses:
Asked what his views were on a possible reunion for The Stone Roses, Gallagher said: “I’d love the Roses to get back, play that album and make a shitload of money for themselves, because I’m sure they didn’t make that much [before]. Do some great fucking gigs, see what the reaction is and go make a new record.
“We come on to ‘I Am The Resurrection’ at all of our gigs and the crowd go nuts. Apparently, Ian Brown’s worried about singing but he wouldn’t even have to — we’d sing it for him.”
On Lady Gaga and Jedward (dissapointing answer spoiler!):
Gallagher also revealed that he was a fan of Lady Gaga, adding: “I fucking like her, man. Some of it’s bordering on ridiculous, but she brings it back around again because she can sing, she can dance, she’s out there taking chances and she’s not like all the other girl acts.” When asked for his opinion on Jedward, he answered: “I don’t mind them little fuckers. They don’t take themselves too seriously, do they?”
On Mumford and Sons:
Asked what he thought of Mumford and Sons, Gallagher replied: “They look like fucking Amish people. You know, them ones with the big sideys that don’t use electricity? Growing their own food and putting barns up. I need music to be a bit more sexy and played by people who look a bit fucking dangerous.”
On Miles Kane:
Miles Kane’s good. He’s young, he’s a great guitarist, and he seems like he’s having fun.”
On Bob Dylan and “nostalgia acts”:
Speaking to The Times, the Beady Eye frontman responded to a question about whether he had celebrated Dylan‘s 70th birthday by saying: “I know all about him and that, but he’s a bit of a miserable cunt as far as I’m concerned. I like that tune he did ‘Lay Lady Lay’. People go nuts for him, but he doesn’t really do it for me.”
The singer added that he wasn’t keen on acts from the 1960s and 1970s making comebacks at the summer festivals, saying of them: “All those fuckers playing their greatest hits are shitbags.”
